Location

Holzminden, Deutschland

Use

Training and Communication Centre

Work carried out by ims

System design, shading studies, heat load calculations, design concept, structural preliminary design, tracking algorithm, project management, PV planning, client handover, comprehensive documentation.

Requirements

Sun-tracking solar shading system by means of tailor-made photovoltaic louvres, optically suspended above the water basin, energy supplier and eye-catcher on the south façade. The DGNB Platinum award-winning building, with the highest score in the Educational Buildings category, shows highest demands on comfort, energy efficiency and environmental protection, as shown in the criteria catalog of the DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council).

System

The automated PV louvre application attached to the south façade seems to hover above the water basin. The solar tracking ensures optimum energy yield and shading at the same time. Frameless custom-made PV modules made of laminated safety glass and supported by filigree clamp holders present top-notch PV façade technology. Perfect module design, integrated and concealed cable routing, silent operation, to name only a few features. An exceptional business card of the Energy Campus. PV output power appr. 10.3kWp.
