Over 20 years of international construction experience form the profound basis of the engineering office IMS founded in 2012.

We specialize in innovative facade concepts to advise, plan, and assist our clients in every phase of their project. Customers benefit from a complete facade planning package that involves all relevant disciplines such as metal and glass construction, mechanical engineering and lightweight construction, electrical engineering and data communication, as well as building services. We ensure the high standards of building physics, functionality and durability.

One of the specialties we dedicate ourselves to is building-integrated solar technology. Photovoltaic systems for power generation or solar thermal concepts for room heating and hot water supply, neatly and elegantly integrated into the building envelope, not only to create eye-catchers, they also impress with their outstanding performance and longevity. So that owners and users are prepared for the future.

After studying physics in Vienna and Aachen, Manfred Starlinger headed several years the business field management for the area of building design of a leading and internationally operating company. Structural realignment and know-how transfer formed the basis for outstanding project realization on all continents in the area of façade-integrated solar technology, daylighting and bespoke solar shading solutions. During this time, Manfred Starlinger was also responsible for managing various R & D projects in international collaborations.

Manfred Starlinger has been a guest lecturer at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences since 2008. In the master's program IFDC - International Facade Design and Construction he teaches students from all over the world, impart knowledge in the field of building physics, conducting lectures and workshops.
